Boaty McBoatDog

Phoebe has not always been a boat dog, in fact I'm pretty sure the first time she stepped paw on a boat was the day the boat arrived in Dauntless (see blog post here).

She's pretty comfortable on boats spending much of her time sleeping on the chart table, trotting up and down the side decks, sleeping on the fore deck, keeping a watchful eye over everything, sleeping on the spinnaker. Of course all of this is while the boat is on the hard so its fairly solid and not that different for her from being in the garden, if not a little more restrictive. The next test is a boat on the water.

I think the best part of the experience for us was seeing how crazy cute she looks in a doggy lifejacket! For Phoebe it seemed to be; sleeping in the cot-pit, watching seaweed passing by on the water, sleeping in a bunk with me, getting extra treats for being a good girl and then the real highlight was definitely the sleeping.
