Shameless Begging for Sailing and Boat Gear

If you’re interested in getting involved in my project there are lots of ways to do so:

Write a blog entry -  Have a story of your own?  I’d love to include an entry (and link) from your own blog.

Come and Help -  If you have time and any interest at all then you’re more than welcome to actually come and help out for a day, if you have some specific skills then even better J Just get in touch for us to arrange.

Do an Expert interview - I’m looking for some experts in the yachting and sailing fields to d some blog interviews with.  If you interested then drop me a line.

Donate something - This is my cheeky bid for your generosity.  There are thousands of people out there who will test products but they are mostly professionals.  If you interested in helping me out and donating something to my project I will be firstly extremely grateful and secondly will happily write up my experience and thoughts on the product.  I’m a novice to boat renovation so if you’re interested in a different opinion, how easy is it to understand/use/install etc then please feel free to get in touch.

For some inspiration for your generosity my current projects are:

Drying her out!

I really want to get the dehumidifier running constantly and since I can’t rely on the yard power I’m looking at a renewable energy set up:

  • Solar panel / wind turbine

  • Charge regulator

  • Current invertor (12v->230v)

Mast Step

This is a biggy for me and I’m not totally sure how to tackle this yet:

  • Expertise and advice would be gratefully received!

Bulkhead repair

That rot around the mast really needs cutting out and repairing with new dry marine plywood.

  • Marine plywood

  • Handheld circular saw

  • Fiberglass materials

If there is something you would like tested that is not on the list above please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
